Our Inspiration.
Lauren and Sean, the sister duo behind Bottle Brush, grew up surrounded by creativity, color, and curiosity. Born in Aspen, Colorado and raised in the vibrant Lowcountry of Charleston, South Carolina, the sisters were immersed in a world that celebrated self-expression. Their parents—both wildly creative themselves—fostered a home full of art projects, messy hands, and endless encouragement to explore the world through imagination. After both attending Clemson University, Sean and Lauren stayed close, sharing a passion for design, family, and bringing playful ideas to life.
The spark for Bottle Brush came from Sean’s daughters, who showed a love for painting almost as soon as they could hold a brush. As a mom constantly on the move with her family—whether traveling across states or spending sunny afternoons by the beach—Sean wanted a paint product that was safe, portable, and fun for her girls to use anywhere. Together, she and Lauren developed Bottle Brush: colorful, kid-friendly paints in easy-to-use bottles that go from the kitchen table to the park with ease. Whether painting seashells by the shore or rocks in the backyard, Bottle Brush is more than a product—it’s a piece of their family’s creative journey, shared with yours.
